“Coaching baseball for over 15 years and serving on the board of directors of a local baseball league for over 5 years has exposed me to a lot of baseball people, clinics and techniques for teaching fundamentals. This year, my son and I were fortunate enough to receive hitting instruction and training from David Fields. I have never seen better results in my life. David starts at the beginning and progressively builds upon each concept with constant review and reinforcement to ultimately create a complete hitter. David works extremely well with youth and high school baseball players, he is able to communicate effectively and relate with the pupils in his sessions. David not only explains and teaches the proper hitting mechanics, but he also takes the time to explain the ramifications of improper mechanics at each step of the training. David propelled my 14 year old son’s batting average from .300 to .650 in a 16 and under baseball league my son competed in this summer. The concepts David teaches work and David excels at teaching them. My son will continue to get as much training and instruction as possible from David, I can’t praise David and his hitting training enough.”

Aislyn“Aislyn has worked with Dave off and on since she was 11.  Our location in Spanish Fork makes it difficult to work with him regularly.  However, when I see lapses in either mechanics or batting success in my daughter I refer back to Dave.  Like so many parents who coach their children, mine does not “hear” me when I attempt to coach her in batting (as well as so many other things) and that’s where Dave has been the best.  He understands the players and really can identify and refer drills for addressing small issues that cause big issues in games.
Aislyn started a thorough program with Dave in 10U ball.  She had played club ball for a couple of years, but she was not an elite hitting on any of her teams.  They kept her mainly because she could pitch – she was the flex player many, many times because she wasn’t much of a hitter.  After 9 dedicated months with Dave, her mechanics were night-and-day improved and her batting started to flourish.  Dave’s program focuses on tiny muscle mechanics and movements and really drills the muscle memory into them through repetition.  Since then, Aislyn has always been a top hitter.  But occasionally small lapses in mechanics will creep in and she really trusts Dave to figure them out and help her solve them. Recently she experienced this during a tournament where she went 3 for 8.  A .375 average wouldn’t be a big deal to most, but Aislyn has kept an average above .500 since working with Dave initially, so I knew there was a problem.  I scheduled one session with Dave to hopefully help her, and he identified two small problems.  Of course she listens intently to Dave and trusts his instruction, so she went home and focused on the drills he suggested that week.  She went 7 for 10 the following weekend, hitting a single, 3 doubles, 2 triples and a home run.  So one session improved her average from .375 one weekend to .778 the next.  The weekend after this, her club team played a scrimmage against a college team for experience.  She went two for two, with a double and a home run over the college fence, off the college pitcher.  Aislyn is still only 14 years old, not even close to being 15 and she was ripping the college pitcher.

Aislyn has had an amazing season this past year.  She is 14 years old, like I said, but has played with 16 and 18 year olds this year.  She has hit .570 for the year, and got herself 13 home runs so far.  I’m always excited every time I see her successes after having worked with Dave.  I know she’ll always trust his instruction and look to him for guidance in her hitting.”  Aislyn’s Dad

LG“… the Spanish Fork Spartans (High School team)…, and their coach, whom also helps out for the UVU athletic department, had asked about LG’s mechanics…his words: “that’s the best hitting mechanics I’ve seen in my life”.

I mentioned and gave your contact information to him.
Thanks brother….now imagine when LG stays with those mechanics and gets bigger.  It can only get better!!”  Gene Franco – Wolverines Head Coach

Dinger Nation

“OMG Amazing weekend.  Dave you will never believe this it was Dinger nation.  Kelle hit another one last night, Sage hit 2 today (different games), Emma hit a 2 run and to top it off Abby hit a grand slam.  In 7 games this weekend we had 184 plate appearances with 73 hits, 14 of them doubles, 5 triples and 5 home runs.  We scored 71 runs.  54 RBI’s.  It is working!!!!!!”
